疫癘（上音伇下音力制反鄭注周禮云癘者疫氣不和之疾也說文疾惡也並從疒殳萬皆聲）。

疫癘 (The pronunciation of the upper character is yì; the fanqie of the lower character is lì + zhì [lì]. Zheng's commentary on the Zhouli states: "Lì is an illness caused by discordant pestilential qi." The Shuowen jiezi states: "A malign illness; both take their radical from nì ('sickness'), and shū and wàn are their respective phonetic components").
