跳躑（上徒聊反蒼頡篇云踊也廣雅跳上也說文蹶也從足兆聲經文從卓作踔非也下呈戟反顧野王云躑躅驟舉足而不進也說文作蹢義同從足啇聲）。

Leaping and prancing (跳躑; the first character has the fanqie 徒 + 聊. The Cangjiepian states: 'To leap.' The Guangya says: 'Tiào means to jump upwards.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'To stumble/tread.' It is formed with the 'foot' radical [足] and takes zhào [兆] as its phonetic element. The sūtra text writes it with zhuō [卓] as 踔, which is incorrect. The second character has the fanqie 呈 + 戟. Gu Yewang says: 'Zhízhú means repeatedly lifting the feet without advancing.' The Shuowen jiezi gives it as 蹢, with the same meaning; it is formed with the 'foot' radical [足] and takes dí [啇] as its phonetic element).
