湮沒（上湮見反考聲云沒入水中也經作咽吞也非湮沒義今不取也）。

To submerge and drown (湮沒; the first character has the fanqie 湮 + 見. The Kaosheng says: 'To sink down into the water.' The sūtra writes 咽, which means to swallow; this does not have the meaning of submerging, so it is not adopted here).
