偏袒（下壇嬾反考聲袒露也去上衣露上肩也左傳鄭伯肉袒牽羊是也說文從衣旦聲嬾音來旱反）。

Bared on one side (偏袒: the lower character has the fanqie tán + lǎn [tǎn]; Kaosheng says: 'Tǎn means exposed; shedding the upper garment to expose the upper shoulder'; as in the Zuo zhuan: 'The Earl of Zheng, bare-shouldered, led a sheep'; Shuowen jiezi derives it from 衣 "clothing" with 旦 phonetic; 嬾 is pronounced with the fanqie lái + hǎn [lǎn]).
