曼陀吉尼池（梵語大龍象王浴池名也淮起世經及立世阿毗曇論等皆說此池在此贍部洲大雪山北有此池是善住象王之所俗處今經意云是諸天浴池若尒即合在忉利天上彼天若有即是名同彼天若無即是錯譯未詳孰是㪅勘梵本為一為異也）。

Mandākinī Pool (曼陀吉尼池: Sanskrit for the name of the bathing pool of the great dragon-elephant king. According to the Qishi jing and the Lishi apidong lun, it is universally taught that this pool is in this continent of Jambudvīpa, north of the Great Snowy Mountains. This pool is the dwelling place of the elephant king Supratiṣṭhita. Now the intention of this sūtra is that it is a bathing pool of the devas; if so, it should be in the Trāyastriṃśa heaven. If that heaven has it, then it merely shares the name; if that heaven does not have it, then it is a translation error. It is not yet clear which is correct; the Sanskrit text should be examined further to see whether they are one or different.)
