汎漲（芳梵反王逸注楚辭云汎淹也說文淨也從水凡聲下張兩反上聲字也郭璞江賦云漲水大皃也說文從水張聲也）。

汎漲 (overflowing and rising: [the upper character] has the fanqie fang + fan. Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: "Fan (汎) means soaking." The Shuowen says: "Pure." It is formed with the "water" semantic classifier and the fan (凡) phonetic component. The lower character has the fanqie zhang + liang; it is an upper-tone word. Guo Pu's Jiang fu says: "Zhang (漲) is the appearance of rising, vast waters." The Shuowen says it is formed with the "water" semantic classifier and the zhang (張) phonetic component).
