倉廩 (granaries and storehouses: the upper character has the fanqie cuo + zang. The Shuowen says: "Cang (倉) is a grain storehouse." It means taking grain in haste and storing it; hence it is called cang. The lower character has the fanqie li + jin. Zheng's commentary on the Zhouli says: "Where rice is stored is called lin (廩)." The Shuowen says: "Where grain is gathered for ancestral temple sacrificial vessels; taking it in haste and with care (canghuang zhenlin), hence it is called lin." The Shuowen writes it as 㐭, formed from "enter" and "revolving", picturing a building with a door and windows).
