黠慧（閑八反方言云黠亦慧也趙魏之間謂慧為黠說文從黑吉聲下畦桂反方言慧明也說文從心彗聲慧音㘝歲反）。

黠慧 (clever and wise: [the upper character] has the fanqie xian + ba. The Fangyan says: "Xia (黠) also means wise (hui). Between Zhao and Wei, wisdom is called xia." The Shuowen says it is formed with the "black" semantic classifier and the ji (吉) phonetic component. The lower character has the fanqie gui + gui. The Fangyan says: "Hui (慧) means bright." The Shuowen says it is formed with the "heart" semantic classifier and the hui (彗) phonetic component. The pronunciation of hui has the fanqie gu + sui).
