勇銳（下悅慧反杜注左傳銳精也孟子疾也其進銳者其退速也顧野王云銳鈷也說文從金兌聲）。

Valiant and sharp (勇銳: the lower [character has the fanqie] 悅慧反. Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: '銳 means sharp/keen (精).' Mengzi says: 'Swift (疾); those whose advance is sharp retreat quickly.' Gu Yewang says: '銳 means spearhead (鈷).' The Shuowen [says it is] composed of 金 with 兌 phonetic).
