侵害（戚淫反蒼頡篇侵犯也說文漸也從人從帚從又又手也手持帚若掃之進曰侵今省為侵略也下何大反蒼頡篇害賊也說文傷也從宀從口言從家中起也丰省聲也經作害俗字也丰音害古字也）。

Encroach and harm (侵害: the first character is pronounced [戚 + 淫] q-īn [qīn]. The Cangjie pian says: "侵 (qin) means to violate." The Shuowen says: "Gradual. It derives from 人, 帚, and 又; 又 is the hand. Holding a broom in hand as if advancing while sweeping is called 侵." Nowadays it is abbreviated as 侵略 [encroachment]. The second character is pronounced [何 + 大] h-ài [hài]. The Cangjie pian says: "害 (hai) means to injure." The Shuowen says: "To wound. It derives from 宀 and 口, meaning that words arise from within the home; with a reduced form of 丰 as phonetic." The sūtra writes 害, which is a vulgar character. 丰 is pronounced 害, being the ancient character).
