單孑 (孑 has the fanqie 古析 [g(ǔ) + x(ī)]. Examining it: 孑 is like solitary and alone. The Shuowen states that having no right arm is called 孑. The Guoyu states: 'Why are you standing solitary (孑然)?'—this is it).
