陽燧（古文作𤎩鐆二形今作𪥡聲類或作燧同辭醉反又云檖謂取火於日者也論語鑽燧改灭也古今正字云取灰具也從火遂聲也）。

Burning-mirror (陽燧: the ancient script has the two variants 𤎩 and 鐆, modern script writes it as 𪥡, and the *Shenglei* sometimes writes it as 燧; all are pronounced with the fanqie 辭 + 醉 [suì]; it is also written 檖, referring to that which draws fire from the sun; the *Lunyu* says: "drilling the burning-mirror to change fire"; the *Gujin zhengzi* says it is an instrument for obtaining fire, with the semantic radical 火 [fire] and phonetic 遂 [suì]).
