Rush headlong and collide (搪揬: the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 徒 + 郎 [táng]; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 徒 + 骨 [tú]; the *Guangya* says pushing recklessly into something is *tang* (榶), crashing into it is *tu* (揬); character books say *tu* (揬) means to rub or scrape; the *Gujin zhengzi* says both characters have the semantic radical 手 [hand], with 唐 and 突 as their respective phonetics).
