蹠踐(上之石反淮南子云鳥排空而飛獸蹠實而走許叔重注云蹠蹈也行也說文從足庶聲經文從鹿作蹗誤也)。
蹠踐 [Tread and trample] (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie zhī + shí [zhí]. The Huainanzi states: "Birds beat the empty air and fly, while beasts tread the solid ground and run." Xu Shuzhong's commentary states: "Zhí means to step on; to walk." The Shuowen states: "It takes 'zú' (足) as its semantic classifier and 'shù' (庶) as its phonetic component." The sūtra text writes it with 'lù' (鹿) as '蹗', which is an error).
