號哭（上皓高反考聲云大哭也痛聲也說文從号虎聲經文從口作㘁是犲狼所㘁非人號哭之聲）。

Wailing and weeping (號哭: the upper character is hào-gāo fan; the Kaosheng says: 'To weep loudly, the sound of grief'; the Shuowen says: 'It follows háo with hǔ as phonetic'; the sūtra text writes it with the mouth radical as 㘁, which is the howl of jackals and wolves, not the sound of a human wailing).
