鐵丳（字苑初眼反今之炙肉丳字也字略云以韱貫肉齊也論文作鏟今作剗剗削也）。

Tiechuan 鐵丳 (the Ziyuan gives the fanqie 初眼 [chū + yǎn/*tṣʰæn/chǎn]; this is the character chuan 丳 for modern roasted meat skewers. The Zilüe says: 'Piercing meat with fine skewers to roast it evenly.' In the treatise text it is written as 鏟, nowadays written as 剗; chan 剗 means to pare or scrape away).
