扇搋半擇迦（梵語搋音勅佳反舊經論中或作般荼迦皆梵音輕重耳此曰黃門其類有五一半擇迦伊利沙此云妬謂見行欲即發不見即無亦具男根而不生子三扇搋半擇迦謂本來男根不滿亦不能生子四博叉𫵱擇迦留拏此云割謂被刑者也）。

Ṣaṇḍha-paṇḍaka 扇搋半擇迦 (Sanskrit: *chāi* is pronounced *chì-jiā* fanqie; in older sūtras and treatises it is sometimes written *paṇḍaka* [般荼迦], differing only in the lightness or heaviness of the Sanskrit sound; here rendered as eunuch [huangmen]; there are five classes: first, [īrṣyā-]paṇḍaka, *īrṣyā* meaning jealousy, where lust arises upon seeing others engaging in desire but not when unseen, possessing male organs but unable to father children; third, ṣaṇḍha-paṇḍaka, meaning one born lacking full male organs and likewise unable to father children; fourth, pakṣa-paṇḍaka [or lunapāṇḍaka], *luna* meaning cut, referring to those who have been castrated).
