勍敵（上竸迎反考聲勍多力也廣疋勍勍武皃也說文強也從力京聲下亭嫡反杜注左傳云敵對也方言云秦晉之間同力者謂之敵廣雅敵軰也說文云仇也從攴從滴省聲也）。

勍敵 [formidable enemy] (The first character is j- + [y]ing [-> qing], departing tone. The Kaosheng says: "勍 means very strong." The Guangya says: "勍勍 means the appearance of martial prowess." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Strong." Composed with 力 [strength] and 京 as phonetic. The second character is t- + [d]i [-> di], entering tone.
