剖為（普口反蒼頡篇云剖㭊也㭊音昔杜注左傳云中分曰剖說文從刀咅咅音土口反也）。

Cleaving to make (剖為): [The first character is read with the] fanqie 普 + 口. The Cangjie pian says: '剖 means to split (㭊, read like 昔).' Du [Yu]'s commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: 'To divide through the middle is called 剖.' The Shuowen says: 'It derives from 刀 and 咅 (咅 is read with the fanqie 土 + 口).'
