顦顇（上情遙反下情燧反韻英云顦顇瘦惡貌也或作燋悴考聲云憂也惕也體亦反班固漢書中作癄瘁病也左傳作蕉[莁-┴+十]萎也毛詩作譙漢書武帝作嫶𡝵皆大同小異非正體也）。

Emaciated and haggard (顦顇: the first character has the fanqie 情遙反; the second character has the fanqie 情燧反. The Yunying states: "Qiaocui (顦顇) is the appearance of being gaunt and withered." It is also written as 燋悴. The Kaosheng states: "Worry; alarm (fanqie 體亦反)." Ban Gu writes it in the Hanshu as 癄瘁, meaning sickly. The Zuozhuan writes it as 蕉[莁-┴+十], meaning withered. The Mao Shijing writes it as 譙. In the Hanshu under Emperor Wu it is written as 嫶𡝵; these are all essentially identical with slight differences, and none are the standard form).
