愁慼（下青績反正作慼論語云小人長慼慼鄭玄曰慼慼多憂懼也何休注公羊云慼痛也毛詩傳云慼憂也說文云慼從戉（音越）從心從𡧯省聲也𡧯音寂）。

愁慼 (the lower character has the fanqie 青 + 績; correctly written as 慼. The Lunyu says: 'The petty person is always full of distress.' Zheng Xuan says: '慼慼 means full of worry and fear.' He Xiu's commentary on the Gongyang [zhuan] says: '慼 means pain.' Mao's commentary on the Shijing says: '慼 means sorrow.' The Shuowen says: '慼 is analyzed from 戉 [pronounced 越], from 心 [heart], with 𡧯 [pronounced 寂] as an abbreviated phonetic element').
