稊稗(上弟泥反集訓云稊子草名也似稗而細小也一名英也說文作第借用也下棑賣反杜注左傳粃稗草之似穀者也說文禾之別名也從禾𤰞聲也)。

Tares and weeds (稊稗; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 弟 + 泥 [tí]. The Jixun says: "Tí is the name of a grass; it resembles barnyard grass but is fine and small; another name is yīng." The Shuowen writes it as 第, which is borrowed. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 棑 + 賣 [bài]. Du [Yu's] commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: "Chaff and barnyard grass are weeds that resemble grain." The Shuowen says: "Another name for grain." It is formed with the grain semantic and 𤰞 as phonetic).
