蠍蜇（上軒謁反下展列反廣雅云蠍毒蟲也埤蒼云蜇亦螫也說文並從虫歇折聲蜇或作蛆從虫從怛省聲論作[口*蜇]字誤也）。

蠍蜇 (The first character has the fanqie 軒謁; the second has the fanqie 展列. The Guangya states: "Xie (蠍) is a venomous insect [scorpion]." The Picang states: "Zhe (蜇) also means to sting (shi)." The Shuowen jiezi states that both are derived from the 'insect' radical (虫) with 歇 and 折 respectively as phonetics. Zhe (蜇) is also written as 蛆, derived from 虫 with an abbreviated 怛 as phonetic. In the treatise, it is written as [口*蜇], which is an erroneous character.)
