嚻動 'Clamorous agitation' (The first character is fanqie 虛 + 驕. Gu Yewang states: '嚻 means clamorous.' Zheng's commentary on the Shijing states: 'The appearance of a multitude.' The Kaosheng states: 'To slander.' The Shuowen jiezi states: '嚻 depicts breath rising from the head; derived from 㗊 and 頁, an associative compound character.' 㗊 is fanqie 莊 + 立).
