Transformation and change (變, the first character, has the fanqie phonetic spelling 彼眷 [bi/juan]. The Guangya says: 'It means transformation.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes 攵 as radical and 䜌 as phonetic component.' The sūtra writes it with 久 as 變, which is a popular variant. 攵 has the fanqie phonetic spelling 普卜 [pu/bu]; 䜌 has the fanqie phonetic spelling 力眷 [li/juan]. 易, the second character, has the sound of 亦 [yi]).
