騁馹（上丑領反廣雅云騁奔也說文直馳也從馬甹聲也甹音匹丁反下人質反杜注左傳云馹傳車也郭注爾雅云傳車驛馬之總名也說文訓同從馬日聲也）。

"Galloping relays" (The first character has the fanqie: 丑 + 領 [chěng]. The Guangya says: '騁 means to run.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To gallop straight forward.' It derives from the horse radical with 甹 as phonetic. 甹 has the fanqie: 匹 + 丁 [pīng]. The second character has the fanqie: 人 + 質 [rì]. Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: '馹 is a courier carriage.' Guo's commentary on the Erya says: 'The general name for courier carriages and relay horses.' The Shuowen jiezi glosses it identically; it derives from the horse radical with 日 as phonetic).
