"Faulty angelica" (The first character has the fanqie: 匹 + 毘 [pī]. The Kaosheng says: 'To arrange; to adorn; thin and sparse silk fabric.' The Dian-shuo says: '紕 means error.' It derives from the silk radical with 比 as phonetic. 繆 has the fanqie: 眉 + 憂 [móu]. The second character has the fanqie: 七 + 泉 [quán]. Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: '荃 is the name of fine cloth.' The Shuowen jiezi says it derives from the grass radical with 全 as phonetic; some write it as 絟).
