芟夷（霎銜反傳云芟除草也說文刈草也從艸殳聲音殊霎音杉夾反）。

芟夷 (The first character has the fanqie 霎銜. The [Zuozhuan] Commentary states: "Shan (芟) means to remove weeds." The Shuowen jiezi states: "To mow grass." It is derived from the 'grass' radical (艸) with 殳 as phonetic; 殳 is pronounced 殊; 霎 has the fanqie 杉夾.)
