翳薈（上繄計反杜注左傳云乘之有蔭翳者也方言翳薆也又薆猶蔽也說文從羽殹聲殹音同上繄音噎兮反下烏外反廣雅云薈翳也說文多草之皃也從艸會聲）。

翳薈 (The first character has the fanqie 繄計. Du [Yu]'s commentary on the Zuozhuan states: "Something covering it so there is shade and concealment." The Fangyan states: "Yi (翳) means ai (薆, concealed); moreover, ai is like 'covered'." The Shuowen jiezi states that it is derived from the 'feather' radical (羽) with 殹 as phonetic; 殹 has the same sound as above, and 繄 has the fanqie 噎兮. The second character has the fanqie 烏外. The Guangya states: "Hui (薈) means yi (翳, concealed)." The Shuowen jiezi states: "The appearance of luxuriant grass." It is derived from the 'grass' radical (艸) with 會 as phonetic.)
