蠱道（上姑五反考聲又音野杜注左傳云蠱猶惑也郭注爾雅云疑惑有貳心也說文云集磔之鬼為蠱從蟲從皿會意字也）。

Sorcery (蠱道: the upper character is *gu* + *wu* [gu]; the Kaosheng also gives the pronunciation *ye*. Du's commentary to the Zuo zhuan says: '蠱 is like bewilderment.' Guo's commentary to the Erya says: 'Confused and having divided loyalties.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'The ghosts that gather to dismember are 蠱. It is formed with 'insect' (蟲) and 'vessel' (皿), a compound ideograph.')
