刮洒（上關八反鄭注禮記云刮猶摩也廣雅云減也說文從刀舌聲下西底反韓康柏注周易云𭰫灌其心也說文云滌也從水西聲或作滷古洗字也）。

刮洒 (The first character has the fanqie *g[uān] + [b]ā*. Zheng's commentary on the Liji states: "*Gua* is like to scrape." The Guangya states: "It means to diminish." The Shuowen jiezi states that it is analyzed as semantic 刀 ('knife') and phonetic 舌. The second character has the fanqie *x[ī] + [d]ǐ*. Han Kangbo's commentary on the Zhouyi states: "To wash and drench one's mind." The Shuowen jiezi states: "It means to cleanse." It is analyzed as semantic 水 ('water') and phonetic 西. It is sometimes written as 滷, which is an ancient form of 洗).
