即探（他含反爾雅探取也注云謂摸取也說文探遠取也亦試也甞試之也）。

即探 (Has the fanqie *t[ā] + [h]án*. The Erya states: "*Tan* means to take." The commentary states: "It means feeling and taking." The Shuowen jiezi states: "*Tan* means to reach far and take." It also means to test; to try and test something).
