莝碓（且臥反詩云莝之秣之傳曰莝蒭也謂斬蒭所以養馬者也經文作剉說文折傷也）。

莝碓 (The first character has the fanqie 且 + 臥 [cuò]. The Shijing says: 'Chop fodder and feed it.' The commentary says: '莝 means cut grass; it refers to chopping fodder to nourish horses.' In the sūtra text it is written as 剉. The Shuowen says: 'To snap and wound.')
