55.18

頑𤹝（今作𢈷同必寐反說文足氣不通肉中痛也經文作痹俾利反說文濕病也非此義也痿痹不能行也）。

頑𤹝 (Now written as 𢈷. It has the fanqie 必 + 寐 [bì]. The Shuowen says: 'The qi in the feet is blocked, causing pain in the flesh.' In the sūtra text it is written as 痹, with the fanqie 俾 + 利 [bì]. The Shuowen says: 'A disease caused by dampness.' That is not the meaning here; this refers to atrophy and numbness (痿痹) making one unable to walk.)
