蒼頭（漢書蒼頭應劭曰秦稱民曰黔首黔黑也首頭也奴曰蒼頭者非純黑以別於人也）。

蒼頭 (Hanshu: "*Cangtou* (gray-heads)." Ying Shao states: "Qin called the common people *qianshou* (black heads); *qian* means black, and *shou* means head. Male slaves were called *cangtou* (gray-heads) because [their headwear] was not pure black, thereby distinguishing them from ordinary free persons").
