睚眦（五懈魚計二反廣雅睚裂也下靜計反說文曰崖也謂裂眥瞋目之皃也漢書素無眦睚史記睚眦之怨必報是也經文作睨五悌反邪視也睨非此義也）。

Angry glaring (睚眦: fanqie 五懈 and 魚計. Guangya: 睚 [yá] means splitting open [the eyes]. The second character has the fanqie 靜計. Shuowen says: 睚 means [a cliff-like edge]; it refers to the appearance of widening the corners of the eyes and glaring in anger. The Book of Han says: "Usually having no glaring grudges (眦睚)." The Records of the Grand Historian says: "A grudge of a mere angry glance (睚眦) must be avenged," which are this. The sūtra text writes 睨, fanqie 五悌, which means looking askance; 睨 is not the meaning here).
