絆繫（上鉢慢反漢書云絆仁義之羈絆也考聲云絆猶繫兩足也說文云馬𮩸也從糸半聲也𮩸音砧立反𮩸與縶字義同繫音鷄詣反）。

絆繫 ('tied and bound'): For the first character, the fanqie is [b- + o >] bō and [m- + an >] màn. The Hanshu says: 'A 絆 is a tethering of benevolence and righteousness.' The Kaosheng says: '絆 is like binding two feet.' The Shuowen says: 'It is a horse hobble. Composed of 糸 with 半 phonetic.' 𮩸 has the fanqie [zh- + en >] zhēn and [l- + i >] lì. 𮩸 has the same meaning as 縶. 繫 has the fanqie [j- + i >] jī and [y- + i >] yì.
