鷹逐鴿（上憶矜反毛詩箋云鷙鳥也顧野王云亦謂𠁊鳩也下甘合反王逸注楚辞云鴿鳩之類也說文從鳥合聲也）。

鷹逐鴿 (Hawk chasing a dove: The first [character] has the fanqie 憶矜 [yīng]. The Mao Commentary on the Book of Odes says: 'A bird of prey.' Gu Yewang says: 'It also refers to the sparrowhawk.' The last [character] has the fanqie 甘合 [gē]. Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: 'A dove is of the pigeon kind.' The Shuowen says: 'It has the radical 鳥 and the phonetic 合.')
