[高/肉]炷（上果敖反鄭注禮記云膏香牛脂又曰肥脂說文從高從肉下朱戍反考聲云炷燈心也從火主聲集訓作主主燈內布而施行今之時用也）。

[高/肉]炷 ('tallow wick'; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 果 + 敖. Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Liji says: "'Gao' (膏) is fragrant bovine tallow; another says it is rich fat." The Shuowen says it is formed from 高 and 肉. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 朱 + 戍. The Kaosheng says: "'Zhu' (炷) is the wick of a lamp; it is formed from [the radical] 火 with 主 as the phonetic component." The Jixun writes it as 主: 主 is cloth placed inside a lamp and lit; this is the usage of the present time).
