茜草（古文蒨茜二形今作𦵻同千見反說文茅蒐也人血所生故蒐字從鬼案茜可以染絳也）。

茜草 [madder plant] (The ancient graphs have the two forms 蒨 and 茜; nowadays written 𦵻; the same; pronounced with the fanqie 千見 [qiàn]. The Shuowen jiezi states: "Mao sou [madder]. Because it is born of human blood, the character sou (蒐) is composed of 'ghost' (鬼)." Madder can be used to dye deep crimson).
