草秸（又作稭𩋧鞂三形同公八反秸槀也說文稭禾槀去其皮祭天以為藉也律文作𦮽古木反禾𥢶也𦮽非此用也）。

Straw stalks (草秸; also written in the three forms 稭, 𩋧, and 鞂, all fanqie: 公 + 八 [jiē]; 秸 means stalk; the Shuowen says: "稭 is grain stalk with the husks removed, used as a mat when sacrificing to Heaven"; written 𦮽 in the Vinaya text, fanqie: 古 + 木 [gǔ], which means grain shoots; 𦮽 is not the character used here).
