如氾（敷陷反古今正字云汎浮也普也說文亦同從水從范省聲也或作泛或作氾大同而小異也皆水流漂蕩貌）。

如氾 (like floating: [fàn is pronounced with the fanqie] 敷陷. The Gujin zhengzi says: 'Fàn (汎) means floating; it means broad.' The Shuowen jiezi is the same; it derives from 水 with 范 abbreviated as phonetic. It is also written as 泛 or 氾; they are broadly similar with minor differences. All are the appearance of water currents drifting and tossing.)
