稟性（彼錦反孔注尚書云稟受也說文云賜穀也從禾㐭力錦反聲也）。

稟性 ("natural disposition"): The character has the fanqie reading [p- + -jɪm = bǐng] (彼錦反). Kong [Anguo]'s commentary on the Shangshu says: "稟 means to receive." The Shuowen says: "To bestow grain. It is formed with the radical 禾 ('grain') and 㐭 (fanqie 力錦反) as phonetic."
