摽擊（匹漂反毛詩傳摽落也說文擊也從手票聲音必遙反或從支作𢿏字訓用竝同上𢿏亦棄也經文有從風作飄錯用飄迴風也旋風也非經義下經亦反顧野王云擊捶打也說文支也從手𣪠聲𣪠音同上支音普卜反）。

摽擊 ("to strike down and beat": [fanqie] 匹漂 [piāo]. Mao Commentary to the Classic of Poetry says: "Piāo means to fall." Shuowen says: "To strike." It is composed of 手 with 票 as the phonetic; the sound has the fanqie 必遙 [biāo]. It is also written with the radical 支 as 𢿏, having the same meaning and usage as above; 𢿏 also means to cast aside. In scripture texts some write it with 風 as 飄, which is an erroneous usage; 飄 means a whirling wind, a whirlwind, not the scripture's meaning. The lower character has the fanqie 經亦 [jī]. Gu Yewang says: "Jī means to strike, beat, or hit." Shuowen says: "To branch off [support]; composed of 手 with 𣪠 as the phonetic; 𣪠 has the same sound as above; 支 has the fanqie 普卜 [pū].")
