急㧖（上今立反說文褊也從心及聲也下音厄考聲云㧖把也文字典說持也取也從木戹聲也戹音同律文作扼俗字也褊音必演反）。

Tightly seized (急㧖; the first character is fanqie 今 + 立. The Shuowen says: "Narrow and constrained; it takes radical 心 and 及 as phonetic." The second character is pronounced 厄. The Kaosheng says: "㧖 means to grip." The Wenzidian says: "To hold, to grasp; it takes radical 木 and 戹 as phonetic." 戹 has the same pronunciation. In the Vinaya text it is written as 扼, which is a popular character. 褊 is fanqie 必 + 演).
