鼈齩（上鞭滅反說文介蟲也外骨而內肉從黽敝聲律文從龜或從虫作鼈蟞並非也下雅狡反考聲云齩齧也說文從齒交聲律文從口作咬俗字也）。

Bitten by a turtle (鼈齩; the first character is fanqie 鞭 + 滅. The Shuowen says: "A shelled reptile, with bone on the outside and flesh on the inside; it takes radical 黽 and 敝 as phonetic." In the Vinaya text it is written with radical 龜 or 虫 as 鼈 or 蟞, both of which are incorrect. The second character is fanqie 雅 + 狡. The Kaosheng says: "齩 means to bite." The Shuowen says: "It takes radical 齒 and 交 as phonetic." In the Vinaya text it is written with radical 口 as 咬, which is a popular character).
