躊躇（上紂流反下音除考聲云躊躇心不決定不即行也韓詩外傳云躊躇猶俳佪不進也廣雅猶豫也文字典說二字並從足壽著皆聲也）。

Hesitating and indecisive [躊躇] (The first character has the fanqie zhou + liu. The second character has the sound chu. The Kaosheng says: "Chouchu means the mind is undecided and does not advance immediately." The Han Commentary on the Odes says: "Chouchu is like pacing back and forth without progressing." The Guangya says: "Hesitating." The Wenzi dianshuo says: "Both characters are classified under radical 'foot' with 'shou' [壽] and 'zhu' [著] as their phonetics respectively.")
