Stumble and fall (躓頓: the first character is pronounced *zhi* + *li* [= *zhì*]. Gu Yewang says: "*Zhì* also means to stumble [頓]." The *Guangya* says: "To tread on." The *Wenalidianshuo* says: "*Zhì* means to stumble [跲]." It is derived from 足 with 質 as phonetic. 跲 is pronounced *qi* + *ye* [= *jié*]. The second character is pronounced *du* + *dun* [= *dùn*]. It is derived from 頁 with 屯 as phonetic).
