Bìcǎi 閟彩 (concealed brilliance; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie bēi + mèi. The Mao Commentary to the Shijing says: 'Bì means closed.' Kong [Anguo's] commentary to the Shangshu says: 'Bì means cautious.' Sometimes written with bǐ 比 as 毖; the gloss and meaning are the same).
