祈禱 (The first character is pronounced *qi*. The *Kaosheng* says: "To seek; to report." The second character has the fanqie *dao* + *lao*. The *Lunyu* says: "*Dao* means to request." The *Guangya* says: "To give thanks." The *Shuowen jiezi* says: "Reporting a matter to seek blessings is called *dao*." It takes 示 as radical with 壽 abbreviated phonetic).
